Tsujiri Philippines: Experience Real Matcha

Before the ASUS Zenfone 4 Launch, I was hanging out by myself in SM Mall of Asia. A lot has changed since I’ve last been there (can’t remember when though). The ASUS event would be held in the SMX Convention Center so I found myself walking to S Maison and to Tsujiri Philippines. It was my first time to return to Tsuijiri since it’s opening week.

I was there very early at 10:30-ish AM. It was a different experience vs. the jam-packed opening week). I was naturally the first and only customer at that time. I sat on the green velvety couch feeling very at peace. I love it.

Tsujiri is a dessert place. Careful not to mistakenly order sushi or katsudon. Funny story, a family of six went inside and asked for the lunch menu. HAHA. I was glad they were hungry because I want the place all to myself. I wanted some alone time. 😅

If you know me, you’d know I liked weird food and drinks. Some people do categorize matcha as weird because it’s bitter and green. However, I am absolutely in love with matcha.💗 All forms!

My favorite Tsujiri menu item would be the Tsujiri float (Php 195 for a small cup and 205 for a medium). It’s like a matcha ice cream and an ice blended matcha frappucino had a baby. Yes, the items are a bit pricey but considering the realness of the matcha. It’s definitely worth it. Plus, you’re in S Maison for crying out loud where almost everything is above Php200.

Tip: Bring a light jacket. S Maison really know how to maintain its air-conditioning. It’s like the north pole. Not complaining though. Bring a light jacket so you’d enjoy your matcha ice cream even more.

Are you also in love with matcha? Have you been to Tsujiri Philippines? Share your experience.
