So if you know me, I’d probably talk to you about Adorable Home by Hyperbeard Games, the latest app craze in the social media scene. Mine is in Spanish so it’s called Casa Adorable. I will not post about game hacks. That’s just not my style. But I’d like you to hear me out and let me pitch you this game that got me addicted since Pokemon Go, Floppy Bird , The Sims, Pokemon Red (using my old brick sized yellow Gameboy – yeah, I’m old) and even Tamagotchi (yes, I’m super old). Here me out, here’s why you should download and play Adorable Home.
In Adorable Home, you play as a stay-at-home partner and a homemaker designing your house. With love… literally. Love is the game’s currency! And I think that’s beautiful. You buy furniture, cats, plants, food, whatever, with love. Not hearts but love. How do you earn (more) love? Is that even a question? By giving love, of course.
One word. Jowa.
You get to have a jowa a.k.a. partner. Male, female, long hair, short hair. The choices in terms of physical appearance are limited but it’s OK; we can’t have it all. The most exciting part is you get to name both your avatar and your partner. You can have anyone you like. Mine’s corny (and pathetic): I’m at a point where I’m turning into a halaman so my jowa‘s name is A. Can’t think of anyone. Sad.
Anyway, everyday you will prepare your partner’s bento box for him/her to bring to work. You won’t know what line of work your partner is in. Let’s just hope it’s legal but I think my partner is working on a graveyard shift. I sleep all alone in the bedroom at night. Donde esta mi amor? Where do you sleep mi amor?
So when your partner gets home, he/she will literally announce the arrival and reward you with more love. He/she won’t die if you don’t prepare the bento box. Lunch-outs are always an option, I guess? Haha!
When he/she is not working, your partner hangs out with you on the porch, watch TV with you (Netflix and chill), lay with you on your bed (if you have already unlocked the bedroom). That’s it basically. The interactions are very limited but it’s enough for me to go on with this journey called single-ness. HAHA!
Cats (not the movie!)
If you have played Pet Society before, you will love Adorable Home. You will initially get a white cat named Snow (Nieve). Sadly, the app doesn’t allow naming cats but their names are really interesting. Aside from Snow, I have Moka, Niki and Gabu. Unique names; I wonder who I will get next.
You can stroke your cat, cut its nails or give it a shower. If you complete each activity, you will be rewarded more love. You can double the love by playing ads. The trickiest activity is stroking your cat. Like in real life, cats can be very moody. Touch them the wrong way and you get a scratch. Regardless, I do find this feature of the game relaxing especially if you turn the sounds on, which you totally should by the way.
I like to tap the cat in random places until I find the sweet spot. Less thinking. Less pressure. Plus, I don’t really understand playing games if you just wanted to do it the easy way.
Simply relaxing.
The premise of Adorable Home is so simple that it makes it so relaxing. The minimalist design and the zen-like background sounds are what I like about it the most. I can play it for hours. I don’t even mind the ads.
The weather and time elements add to the experience. There’s a five-day weather forecast. You can get snowy, rainy, cloudy or sunny. I like it when it rains because of the sound of the rainfall, especially when I’m seated outside on the porch.
Room for Improvement
If the makers of Adorable Home happen to read this post, first and foremost, I want the game to have a login feature. I’d like to access my home from different devices. Without a user account, we are at risk of losing our homes. Also, this will allow us to have a network of friends whose homes we can visit from time to time. Di ba?
Personally, I don’t like cats. I haven’t touched a cat in my life. Needless to say, we need the option to get dogs as pets as well. I had a dog visitor, Gigi, a corgi but she’s just a visitor squatting in my living room. Apparently, I’ve taken a picture of Gigi and Snow, which I don’t remember doing at all. Just look at Snow’s face.
I love the graphics and all. The minimalist feel. However, the items in the store do not really encourage me to save up some love and buy them. It just feels limiting sometimes. I bought this wooden staircase with a landing, which didn’t really look good on my house. I wasted love. Huhu.
Lastly, speaking for all the singles out there, I would like to interact more with the partner. Similar to the interactions with the cats. A hug, a kiss, or something more. If you know what I mean. :p
Adorable Home is just new. Social media helped influence me into playing this game. I’m expecting exciting improvements when it’s updated in the future. Otherwise, I might get bored in a month or two. Or probably not. The game helps me burn time and relax.
Have you tried playing Adorable Home? Thanks for hearing me out. Now, I’d like to hear from you too. Sound off with your comments below.

I totally agree that the simpleness of the game is what makes it addicting. I really want more options you can do with your ‘jowa’. haha. Adorable Home, hear amiciness out 🙂
