Let’s Meet the Girls of Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 6

Welcome to Bangkok, Thailand! 🇹🇭 The show’s alumni Monika (Cycle 3), Tu (Cycle 5), and Shikin (Cycle 5) drive in their Subaru to meet the girls of Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 6. For the first time in the show’s history, the three of them will serve as the contestants’ alumni model mentors.

Cindy meets the girls at the rooftop of the Marriott Hotel in Bangkok. This will be a true test of your strength and resilience, Cindy says. “Be prepared to be pushed #BeyondLimits!”

Challenge: Catwalk Selfie

Huawei P20 product placement! Two girls will be eliminated!

The girls have to do a runway walk and take a selfie at the end. The model mentors show them how it’s done. Cindy and Yu Tsai are judging their walks.

Well, this is brutal.

The remaining girls proceed to the model house. Interior design envy. The space is so pretty. Industrial chic. The girls run to claim their beds. Jesslyn gets the biggest bed and shares it with Mia. Sponsor freebies on each of their beds. More product placement! 😂

This early we’re getting a Good Girls vs Bad Girls situation. Ugh, what a tired concept please. Han and Rubini decide to switch rooms.

Each model mentor will mentor a group of 4 girls.

• Shikin: Jachin, Mia, Sharnie, Thanh Vy
• Monika: Jesslyn, Iko, Dana, Rubini
• Tu: Pim, Beauty, Adela, Han

Shikin says that she’s gonna be a “tough love” type mentor. Monika emphasizes the importance of being a brand, someone who’s not perfect, relatable. Tu gets to critiquing all of her girls’ looks right away! 😂

Han gets a one-on-one mentor session pep talk with mentor Tu. Rubini is shooting first. Doesn’t seem like she’s scared of the snake at first, but gets overwhelmed and cannot focus. Yu Tsai is frustrated at Sharnie’s low energy. He asks her to scream and shout, but she freezes. Dramatic move to commercial break.

But why would you SCREAM while holding a crocodile though? That seems like a recipe for disaster. My thoughts exactly, Pim. Jesslyn’s iguana is not here for this photo shoot. 😂 Han is immediately freaked out by the crocodile, but she warmed up to her new pet slowly. Tu is channeling stage mother copying her daughter’s moves at the side. 😂

Deliberation

Welcome to the new judging panel room! Looks really nice and bright! Cindy, Yu Tsai and actress Celina Jade are this week’s judges. I’m liking the judges’ deliberations this cycle a lot more than last. And there have been no bad photos thus far. ♥️

Beauty gets raves from the judges. For Iko’s photo, Celine says that she’s drawn more to the crocodile. Oh no, girls, do we have another candidate for Best Photo this week?

Jachin also gets praises from the judges. Rubini just lost her brother a few months ago and wants to win he competition for him. Jesslyn’s photo doesn’t reflect her extensive modelling experience, says Cindy. Yu Tsai doesn’t like that Pim thinks she knows everything. What? I believe she just said that she can handle the snake on her own and didn’t need Yu Tsai’s help with it. 😂
