ASUS Philippines launched its new Zenfone 4 series last August 19 at the SMX Convention Center. Usually, phone companies just launch one model at a time but ASUS released a whole line of different phones for the inner photographer in you.
We Love Photo 💗
Basically, ASUS’ market (for now) are millennials (and non-millennials) that value experience or rather documenting experience. If it ain’t documented, it didn’t happen. Those who love taking pictures of travels or any memorable moment.
Focusing on the different aspects of mobile photography (i.e., aperture, battery and beautification feature), ASUS came up with a line of powerful and affordable smartphones ready to compete with its predecessors.
ASUS Zenfone 4 Ambassadors
Bea Alonzo was announced as the local ambassador for Zenfone 4 in parallel to Korean heartthrob Gong Yoo. I don’t know if this is in conflict with Bea’s endorsement with a camera company. Is she no longer in contract? Please enlighten me.
Anyway, the commercial of Gong Yoo in Dongdaemun was just awesome. I was there last April and I was sure the roses weren’t there so I was wondering when it was shot. Awesome commercial! Bea will also have a web series featuring a Czech actor who looks like Ian Veneracion.
Zenfone 4 Selfie and Selfie Pro
ASUS improves the selfie experience through a dual front camera setup. No friend is left behind with the 120 degree wide angle front camera option. The standard camera is still there and captures photo of the same quality. Both phones offer the wide angle option but the Selfie Pro boasts a higher aperture perfect for taking selfies at low light. AND the Selfie Pro can take 4K selfie videos. How amazing is that?
One of my favorite features is the beautification option for live feed videos, a world’s first. Now, your face is consistent in all of your posts. HAHA!
ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie (20MP + 8MP dual front camera) is priced at Php 13,995 while the Selfie Pro (24MP + 5MP dual front camera) is at Php 18,995.
Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 4 Pro
The Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 4 Pro on the other hand have dual rear cameras for taking professional quality wide photos. Two cameras in one smartphone. Zenfone 4 Pro has a higher aperture for both front and rear cameras.
The ASUS Zenfone 4 is priced at Php28,995 while the ASUS Zenfone 4 is at Php39,995.
Zenfone 4 Max and Max Pro
Zenfone 4 Max and Max Pro (not yet available) though both have high quality dual rear cameras focus more on battery power. During the event, they showed how ASUS compared the Max to other flagship phones of other brands. The Max can last up to 46 days on 4G standby! It also charges fast. You can maximize its use with just a 5 to 10 minute charging time.
The ASUS ZenFone 4 Max is priced at Php 9,995.
There you have it. These are the newly launched ASUS Zenfone 4 series. Whether you love taking photos, selfies or wefies, or battery power, there’s a Zenfone 4 for you. Personally, I would like to get my hands on the Zenfone 4 Pro. So I won’t need to carry a bag with a powerbank and a charger. 😂
