Last time I asked you who among the Top 11 had the best individual photo, and Maureen won. Congrats! 👏

And not one minute in, we’re reminded again of the Good Girls v Bad Girls shtick. Tu got Best Photo but she’s still not happy because her closest friend Layla left. Tu says Layla is the only one who understands her, literally, because she couldn’t speak English very well.

Over at the Bad Girls room, Nametha wanted to “slap” Dorothy for almost continuing the Bad Girls’ “curse” of them being kicked out one by one. Dorothy also thought she was a goner but happy she’s still in. Veronika is still in the Bad Girls room continuing her “recon” mission. Dorothy thinks it’s time for the Good Girls to feel what they’ve been feeling for weeks now.

Cindy Mail: Time to be the hero of your own story

Clara is worried because she’s not comfortable writing in English. Oh don’t worry girl, I’m sure there’s no writing involved.

Challenge: Maybelline Social Media Challenge

The girls are each given a Maybelline makeup-themed phrase to interpret through a photo. And each group must create a cohesive story for all of their photos. The groups are:

  • Tu, Shikin, Valerie
  • Nametha, Veronika, Alicia
  • Dorothy, Maureen, Cindy, Clara

The winner of the challenge wins a shopping spree of $10,000 in Maybelline products at stake.

Maureen loves doing makeup. Maureen took charge and gave her suggestion. Everyone seems to agree except for Clara.

Maureen is taking too long to finish her makeup. The other girls are getting impatient. Maureen wishes Clara just shut up. Ooh.

There’s a bit of friction between Shikin and Valerie, both dominant types.

Cindercella likes Shikin’s photo because it highlighted the highlighter makeup.

Challenge Winner: Maureen, Dorothy, Cindy, Clara

Their group won but Shikin got the highest individual challenge score. Nametha is at the bottom of the scoreboard.

Veronika thinks their group got dragged down because of Nametha. It is Valerie’s lowest ever challenge score but she’s determined to kill the photo shoot.

Photo shoot: Maybelline “It” Girl

Uptown Princess. Downtown Edge. Midtown Girl. The girls will rock one of three Maybelline It Girl looks. The winner this week will become the face in a Maybelline campaign. Model mentor Cara and Madi Wong are on set to supervise the girls. Nigel Stanislaus from Maybelline NY is on hand to do the girls’ makeup looks. Shavonne Wong (Zhiffy Photography), from Episode 3, is back as the photographer for this shoot.

  • Uptown Princess: Cindy, Valerie, Clara
  • Midtown Girl: Alicia, Maureen, Tu, Veronika
  • Downtown Edge: Shikin, Dorothy, Nametha

Cindy is up first and she’s portraying an Uptown Princess. Cara is not getting the “it” girl vibe from her. Veronika is next as a Midtown Girl; her face is a bit too stiff. Downtown Edge Shikin killed the shoot. Actually even before she came to shoot; that walk is fire! The mentors are speechless. “You’re blowing my mind,” says Cara.

Midtown Girl Alicia is up next. And we’re reminded again of her flawsomeness (ahem narratives!). Valerie is next and she’s confident that she fits the Uptown Princess theme. She’s Uptown. And she’s Princess. If you say so, girl!

Midtown Girl Tu is a little too pose-y but the brief is for them to be superstars caught by the paparazzi. Downtown Edge Dorothy is looking good but she’s asked for more variety. She’s struggling with her heels. And then she falls. OMG. Oh ok she’s fine plus she took a good photo. Great job!

Clara came to the shoot complaining that her jacket was too big for her. Cara wants Clara to be serious with this shoot. Maureen is next as Midtown Girl, a successful girl she aspires to be in the future. Maureen says it’s her first time getting all positive comments. Nametha is pissed at her low challenge score. Cara pinks up on her low energy. Nametha is nervous about the shoot. She gets her energy up in her last 10 shots. Hope she got a good photo.

Deliberation

Panel is Nigel Stanislaus, Cara, Cindy and Yu Tsai.

Alicia: Nigel expected a fiercer expression. It looks “girl who got stood up at the bar,” says Cindy

Cindy: doesn’t give off a paparazzi celebrity moment

Clara: Cara says she was disappointing to work with and carrying the negative energy to shoot. Bad reviews from judges

Dorothy: “phoenix rising from the ashes.” Nigel and Cindy loved it.

Maureen: Cara and Cindy loved the photo. Nigel thinks she looks “dehydrated” What?

Nametha: Cara shares that her good photos are slim pickings. Nigel loves the slouch.

Shikin: “You were perfectly on brief.” Yu Tsai wanted more neck, but loved everything else.

Tu: She says she hasn’t been feeling well. Judges are split; Nigel and Yu Tsai loved it, Cara and Cindy did not. #LikeABoss

Valerie: Looked like the perfect It Girl. She sells he brand? Nigel says

Veronika: #OnTheHunt. Cindy thinks she looked like a drunk mannequin. Oops

Nametha cheated? WHAT? She’s going to be eliminated for breaking a rule?! Ugh. Are the twins turning to the Bad Girls’ side? Hahaha

Ah.. Finally, after last week’s photos.. I honestly thought a lot of the girls did so well this week. This must be a non-elimination episode or something

(Top 4- can’t rank because they all did equally well)
Maureen- like the judges said, it’s flawless, she found her angle and used the lighting correctly. This photo truly embodies an it girl

Shikin- she’s slowly becoming the master of effortlessness. She rocked that photoshoot!

Valerie- FINALLY, a photo of Valerie that i genuinely like, the mouth seemed weird at first but then i realized it just her ssss-ing (whatever that is)

Dorothy- never realized how powerful her face looks here, until they zoomed in. It was very empowering. (she got a really weird zoom in on her confessionals tho)

    5. Tu- like valerie, this is Tu’s first photo that i truly liked. Maybe she needs to be more like this, more reserved, less energetic.

    6. Nametha- her makeover really did help her a lot. She looks effortlessly badass AT ALL TIMES. I loved her crouched back here, though the face looks a lot lost

    7. Alicia- poor girl, she’s always underrated. I understand the judges expecting a fiercer photo from her, given her designated style, but they also concluded that she might be lacking versatility and that is contradicting since she’s showing softness here in contrast to her previous shots.

    8. Veronika- she looks so tense here. Her right arm looks so stiff, im worried that there might actually be a problem with veronika’s bones.

(Bottom 2- because unlike everyone, their photos doesn’t appear to be as empowering)
    9. Cindy- the photo looks good from neck to waist, but she got back to her old habits with having a feeble face once again.

    10. Clara- ooohh.. She literally looks like a kid here and really dont think effortless works for her. At least she followed the brief?? (weird seeing her cry so much when last week she’s smiling while layla’s going home)

Can’t wait for next week! I always like it when twins go bad and gun for random people. Anyway, i predict one of them is going home next week, so it probably wont be in the long run.
