While waiting for my Calligraphy Class (I’ll share that in another post), I did some shopping at Fully Booked. I was glad I didn’t stay elsewhere or else I could have bought unnecessary stuff and regretted them! Whew! The last book that I read was All the Bright Places by Rainbow Rowell and currently, I’m still reading Never Let Me Go (That’s thanks to Andrew Garfield!) by Kazuo Ishiguro, which I bought in 2014. So it was about time for me to shop for my bookcase and that was enough reason for me to not feel guilty about my purchase. Confession: I’m a recovering shopaholic. And my list includes Lang Leav! <3
Drum roll please! Here are the items of my purchase of the week after the jump.
Purchase#1 Memories by Lang Leav (Damaged Copy from Php749 to 599.20)
First on my list, as I’ve mentioned is Memories by Lang Leav. I always see Lang Leav on my newsfeed mainly because I follow her FB page so I panicked when I saw this in National Bookstore before. Unfortunately, it was damn too expensive! Yesterday, I was lucky to find a slightly damaged copy for 20% off! I know discounts are there to confuse a shopper but I really wanted the book. HAHA. After all, we don’t judge a book by its cover. Actually, I do but I’ll make an exception.
Purchase#2 and 3 Essentials Watercolor (Php432) and a 5 by 7 in Artist Pad (Php 99) from Royal Langnickle
My watercolor was used out by my niece and nephew when I tried to teach them painting. This set is a bit more expensive but it includes two brushes. I don’t really have an idea about the quality but I really needed to buy one so I can paint! I chose a smaller watercolor pad because I want to make miniature artworks plus I’m too lazy to finish big paintings. You should try it! It’s more fulfilling! I can also use this to make post and greeting cards.
Purchase#4 One More Thing Stories and Other Stories by B.J. Novak (Php643)
One of my favorite actors in The Office is B.J. Novak. I just watched Saving Mr. Banks and I happened to stumble upon his book. Yes! He is a writer and has a book! I browsed it and it seemed light-hearted and easy to read. I bought it. That’s how I buy books. I don’t overthink. HAHA. I may also not think. Seriously, I was also sold by the fact that it contained different stories/anecdotes. Like you’re listening to him speak.
There you have it. My purchase of the week. What do you think? Yay or nay? Should have I bought these items or not? Sound off in the comments section.
