Introducing the Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 4 Contestants

The Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 4 contestants have been revealed! Here are the 14 models vying for the title of becoming Asia’s. Next. Top. Model. But before we introduce the girls, here’s a sneak peek at some of them:

https://www.facebook.com/AsNTMOfficial/videos/1569758689981054/

This is an interesting group of girls we have this year: former beauty pageant titleholders, local Top Model franchise alums, and fashion models in their home countries. As with last cycle we have 3 representatives from the Philippines. There are 2 representatives each for Indonesia and Malaysia and 1 each for the rest of the countries. And for the first time in AsNTM history, Mongolia and Myanmar are represented. Exciting stuff! Now let’s meet the girls in no particular order…

Maya

#ThailandOnTOP #TeamMaya

One of two Thai representatives this cycle is 22-year-old half-Argentinian Wanvisa Maya Goldman Prapasirivichaikul (วันวิสา ประภาสิริวิชัยกุล). She joined Miss Universe Thailand 2013 and finished as one of the runners-up and even won a special award for national costume. She is represented by A1 Models in Bangkok.

Will her dream of becoming Asia’s Next Top Model finally come true this cycle?

Tugs

#MongoliaOnTOP #TeamTugs

Aldina “Tugs” Saruul studied in a makeup school in Germany and has walked the runway for international brands. She speaks fluent English, German and Mongolian. You wouldn’t notice it but she’s a single mother raising her super cute 2-year-old daughter. It is her first time competing in a modelling competition. She is represented by Nu Models in Singapore.

Could this be her first and last chance to make it to the top?

Mai Ngo

#VietnamOnTOP #TeamMaiNgo

Vietnam’s representative is 21-year-old Mai Ngô Thị Quỳnh. She participated in Vietnam’s Next Top Model Cycle 4 but was eliminated early. She also joined the Miss Universe Vietnam pageant but didn’t place. She is now trying her luck to be a top model in the Asian fashion industry.

Will she finally have her chance at victory on Asia’s Next Top Model?

Alaiza

#PhilippinesOnTOP #TeamAlaiza

Twenty-two-year-old Alaiza Malinao is a print and runway model in the Philippines. Last year, she joined Binibining Pilipinas (Miss Philippines) 2015 and finished as one of the semi-finalists (Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach won that year as you may have already known). Before that, she also joined the 2014 Century Tuna Superbods competition and finished runner-up. She is represented by Mercator Models in Manila.

Can she handle the immense pressure and not quit all the way to the top?

Gwen

#PhilippinesOnTOP #TeamGwen

Gwen is definitely no stranger to international competitions. 25-year-old half-Filipino half-French Gwendoline Ruais joined the 2011 Miss World pageant and finished 1st runner-up. She even became one of the behind-the-scene correspondents for the Miss World pageant two years later (when the Philippines won their 1st ever Miss World crown). She now also works as a model, TV presenter, pageant trainer, and even writes on her own blog.

Can she shake off her being “pageant girl” and become a fierce Asian fashion model?

Jessica

#HongKongOnTOP #TeamJessica

Jessica Barta Lam is of Chinese and Hungarian descent but born and stays in New York. She already had a magazine cover at a very young age; it’s not a fashion magazine, but it’s still an incredible feat! She’s even walked the runway during New York Fashion Week for VFiles among others. Already gone international this one! She is represented by Click/Re:Quest in New York and Model One in Hong Kong.

Aldilla

#IndonesiaOnTOP #TeamAldilla

Aldilla Hopkin-Hamid is a 23-year-old Eurasian beauty—she is of mixed Indonesian, British and Palestinian descent. To be honest, I don’t know much about her and couldn’t glean much aside from her working as a print and runway model in Indonesia.

Will she finally make herself known in the Asian fashion industry?

May

#MyanmarOnTOP #TeamMay

The youngest girl this cycle at 17 years old and AsNTM’s first ever model from Myanmar is May Myat Noe. She had, apparently, already visited the Philippines before for pageant coaching by the Gouldian Atelier group. And that coaching paid off as she ultimately won the 2014 Miss Asia Pacific World (a relatively new but already very controversial international pageant). However, her crown was taken away from her just three months after her win with organizers citing May’s being too difficult to work with. It was also revealed that she was a minor and therefore not eligible to join the contest in the first place. Talk about controversial! All of that is in the past now as she now works as a print and runway model in Myanmar.

Can she make history and become the youngest and first Burmese Asia’s Next Top Model winner?

Tuti

#MalaysiaOnTOP #TeamTuti

For the first time since the first cycle, Malaysia only has one representative and it is Nuraini “Tuti” Mohd Noor. She won the 2012 X Top Model Search, a local model search in Malaysia and has since proven herself a worthy winner as she is currently working as an edgy, editorial model. She’s giving me Nicole Scherzinger vibes, or even Cycle 2’s Sneha post-makeover, and I love it! I think she’s capable of bringing the drama and I would love her even more!

Watch her bring the fierce in this audition video:

Can she get along with the other models or will she bring the fierce and the attitude this cycle?

Angie

#SingaporeOnTOP #TeamAngie

Singaporean-Australian Angie Watkins is 19 years old and works as a model in Singapore. She joined The New Paper New Face 2015 modelling competition and she won a special award. She has shot for famous fashion brands Theory Of Seven and Abercrombie & Fitch.

Can she bring her passion for fashion on the AsNTM stage?

Patricia

#IndonesiaOnTOP #TeamPatricia

An experienced host and actress Patricia Gunawan was a semi-finalist in the Miss Indonesia 2012 pageant. She also does print and runway modelling and, in fact, she has worked alongside this cycle’s model mentor Kelly Tandiono in a photo shoot. Hmm… Doesn’t she remind you of Janice from Cycle 2 though? She is represented by WYNN models in Jakarta.

Will she finally put Indonesia on top this cycle of Asia’s Next Top Model?

Julian

#PhilippinesOnTOP #TeamJulian

Like Alaiza, true blue Manileña Julian Aurine Flores also competed in the Binibining Pilipinas pageant but a year earlier. Ja finished as one of the semi-finalists. Later that year she also joined the Miss Manila pageant and won 4th runner-up.

Will she finally succeed in clinching the Asia’s Next Top Model crown for the Philippines this year?

Tawan

#ThailandOnTOP #TeamTawan

Jiratchaya “Tawan” Kedkong (จิรัชญา เกตุคง) is a 20-year-old professional print and runway model from Thailand. She has shot for editorials on Thai magazines and has even traveled to Singapore and Malaysia for modelling jobs. She is represented by Fame Management Asia in Bangkok.

Will her model journey get cut short or will she stay in the competition for the long run?

Sang In

#KoreaOnTOP #TeamSangIn

Sang In Kim is a working professional model in South Korea. At just 23 years old she has walked the runways in Seoul and even in Milan Fashion Week! I must say I had a hard time narrowing down her photos to just three—she’s that good. She’s represented by Ice Models in Milan and LSAC Model Management in Seoul.

Know a bit more about her in her audition video:

Will her “Asian beauty” bring her all the way to the top and become Asia’s Next Top Model?

Another year without any representatives from South Asia—no India, Nepal, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka in sight. There were also rumors that Indonesia would have 3 representatives and one from Japan, but it seems that the rumors were false. OR they were eliminated right before the Top 14. Who knows. One thing I do know is that we’re in for a much more exciting cycle of Asia’s Next Top Model. I’m already liking this group of girls a lot more than last cycle’s.

Have a look at the official photos of the girls of Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 4 one more time now in high definition:

Lol with Alaiza’s description to not quit

    1. That was a hint 😉

  2. FreddyFazbear says:

Woah, I just noticed it now, they are all arranged in their (supposedly) elimination order. I’ve got it as soon as I scrolled from Tawan to Sang In haha

    1. What are you talking about? This was arranged in random order. How could I have possibly known their elimination order last February? Hahaha 😉

      1. Anonymous says:

Omg, exactly Freddy! Idk if you just randomly put it up or coincidence.. But if it is true Tuti should be top 3. Her photos performance wowed every eps… *feeling sad

  3. Anonymous says:

It DOES seem like it’s arranged in a particular order though, although it’s stated that it isn’t but doesn’t that sound like a hint to yguys? 😉

    1. Anonymous says:

YESSSS. dont make any sense when 6 girls were eliminated in their order! Too much spoilers. As usual chinese faces (Asian look) will win.

      1. Well. not exactly. The order for Gwen and Alaiza is wrong. Alaiza appears earlier in my list, but it was Gwen who was eliminated first. As I said, it’s all just random. 😉

        1. Anonymous says:

Hmm just hoping that all these rumors and spoilers werent true. Im rooting for Tuti and Tawan. Somehow Tuti will be eliminate on week 10 or 9. 🙁

        2. Gwen got eliminated but Alaiza went home in the same episode too lol. The lineup is eerily coincidental. May got eliminated in ep 7 btw. 😉

  4. Anonymous says:

Yeah. It is arranged by their elimination order. Definitely

  5. Anonymous says:
