The New Cast of Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 4

Asia’s Next Top Model will be back on our television screens for its fourth cycle next year. The cameras are already rolling for the upcoming cycle starting this week. With the new cycle comes exciting changes. First and foremost, we have the new cast of Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 4. I must say: although I’m sad to see the old faces gone from this new cycle, I’m very excited for this all-new cast bringing new life to the franchise.

AsNTM3x13 - Dinner with the Judges
Cycle 3’s judges: Joey Mead-King, Georgina Wilson, Alex Perry. I will miss this panel. 🙁

Let’s meet this cycle’s new host, new model mentor, and—I’m super excited for this—the new creative director, who (hint hint) you might know already from another franchise. 😉  Meet the new cast of Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 4 after the jump.

New Host: Cindy Bishop

Cindy Bishop - AsNTM Cycle 4
The new host of AsNTM Cycle 4, Cindy Bishop

Model, host, and actress in her country Thailand, Cindy Sirinya Bishop leads the cast as this cycle’s new host. She represented as Miss Thailand World in the 1996 Miss World competition, and since then, has successfully transitioned into the modeling and entertainment scene.

As a model, she has posed for international and luxury brands, graced magazine covers, and walked the runway across Asia. She has also presented as a main VJ on music channel, Channel [V], and as host for live and TV events. She has also starred on local movies and TV dramas, including local adaptations for US drama series Gossip Girl and The O.C. She’s even headed to Hollywood, with a role in the 2016 film All I See Is You, starring Gossip Girl alum, Blake Lively. Now that’s serendipitous.

Cindy has also used her celebrity status to raise awareness for different causes including volunteering for orphanages and being an ambassador for Fin Free Thailand, campaigning to put an end to the consumption of sharks’ fins.

That is quite the impressive resume for Asia’s Next Top Model’s new host. I’m excited to witness the energy that she would bring to the table, and how she would coach and interact with this cycle’s models.

New Model Mentor: Kelly Tandiono

The new model mentor for AsNTM Cycle 4, Kelly Tandiono

Indonesian model, style icon, and actress Kelly Tandiono is AsNTM Cycle 4’s new model mentor. Surely, being the youngest in the panel would help her in relating to and mentoring the contestants for the tough challenges ahead in the competition. However, at her young age, she has already won several prestigious awards including Elle‘s Model of the Year, The Style Makers Award, and Prestige‘s “It Girl” for 2013. She even has an acting award, winning Best Actress at the Royal Bali International Film Festival in 2014.

New Creative Director: Yu Tsai

Yu Tsai - AsNTM Cycle 4
From America now in Asia. The new creative director for AsNTM Cycle 4, Yu Tsai

Yes, folks! It’s the Yu Tsai! OMG SO EXCITED! He will be this cycle’s creative director, conceptualizing and directing the photo shoots for AsNTM Cycle 4.

In case you have been living under a rock, Yu Tsai served as the creative consultant on America’s Next Top Model for the last 3 cycles. He is a director and photographer, shooting A-list celebrities and Hollywood stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Anne Hathaway, Katy Perry and Sarah Jessica Parker, and most recently Kerry Washington and Lupita Nyong’o, among others. His work as a photographer has been featured in international fashion magazines including Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, and Vogue, and for international brands.

I have enjoyed Yu Tsai’s work as creative director especially this latest cycle of ANTM. I can’t say this enough but I’m super excited for him to bring his brand of crazy and tough love to Asia’s Next Top Model. I remember wanting him to guest on AsNTM, because it’s never boring with Yu Tsai around at the shoot.

Now I believe that wishes do come true.  😀
