Philippine talent is on the spotlight once again as the beautiful harmony of four Filipina sisters captivate hearts all over the world. MICA (a name made up of the first letters of their names) auditioned on the 6th and current season of popular Korean reality-singing competition show, Superstar K.

The show held preliminary auditions in the country, and the sisters got flown in from Manila to Seoul to audition in front of the panel of judges, which includes K-pop superstar Ailee.

The video going viral now is of their wonderful performance of the Frozen song “Let It Go.” Aside from that, they also sang and danced Ailee’s hit song, “U & I” and Almira belted out a powerful solo of Beyonce’s “Listen,” which had some of the judges almost in tears.

Filipino TV viewers would probably be familiar with this group as they have joined local televised contests on all 3 major networks, including ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime, TV5’s Talentadong Pinoy (Talented Filipino) and GMA’s Protege. They also represented the Philippines in the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) twice.

Before MICA, they previously went by the names Gollayan Sisters (from their real surnames), and Cercado Sisters (from their mother’s maiden name).

Whatever name they may call their group, we are sure to support the sisters’ dreams for stardom. The Filipinos wish them success in this contest and for their future in the music industry.
