I’m a real fan of Mike’s photography, so I’m happy that he’s behind the lens in the final photoshoot. Nadya and Joey Mead King are on the sidelines to guide and supervise the girls.
After the photoshoot the girls returned to the model house where their special guests were waiting for them — Season 2 Reunion! All the other girls were back to congratulate the Top 3 on getting this far in the competition. And we get this gem from Sheena:
I missed [the girls] so much. Even Janice. Even Janice.

FINAL RUNWAY
The following day, it was time for the rehearsals for the runway. Movement coach Adam Williams directed and supervised all the girls, especially the stars of the show — the top 3. Jodilly had trouble with her foot getting blisters. She was scared that this would affect badly on her final runway walk.
On the night of the runway walk, it was raining, which made for a slippery runway. Nevertheless, the show must and did go on. World-renowned shoe designer Jimmy Choo and Malaysian supermodel Ling Tan watched on the sidelines with the resident judges as they strutted their stuff on the runway.
The girls modeled the collections from three Asian fashion designers: Malaysian designer Jonathan Liang, Indonesian designer Ghea Panggabean (I really like this collection!), and Filipino designer Albert Andrada.
DELIBERATION
First, the judges, with guests Kenneth Goh, creative director for Harper’s Bazaar, and Ling Tan, Malaysian supermodel, deliberated the girls’ photos from the Kampung photoshoot.
The judges liked the old Hollywood glamour that Katarina brought to the picture. Kenneth even described her as a Liz Taylor in the making. Personally, I didn’t like the eyes; they look strained and over-emoting. Maybe it was the eye makeup too.
Sheena‘s pose looked just like the photoshoot from Borneo (see below). Although, she did convey the right emotion in this photo. You could feel the sadness and longing for her family. She best gave justice to the assigned brief.
Jodilly had trouble in the photo shoot regarding her facial expressions: she’s either giving too little or too much emotion. Mike mentioned that with a little fine tuning she would be just fine. But she did take a lot of great pictures. Personally, I feel like this was not her best picture as I prefer her side profile pictures better.
After the judges deliberated on the photos, Katarina was eliminated from the competition.
Eliminated (Top 3): Katarina Rodriguez, Philippines
DELIBERATION, PART DEUX
Now it’s time for the judges to critique the Top 2 girls’ performances on the runway. Joining the resident judges are Natasha Kraal, editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar Malaysia, and Marina Fairfax representing Storm Models Management.
They noted how Sheena’s look and walk were modern, while Jodilly’s was a more classic take on modeling. Both did a spectacular job on the runway, but only one can win…
In this particular case, they chose Malaysia’s Sheena Liam as the second Asia’s Next Top Model. Congratulations!
Runner-up: Jodilly Pendre, Philippines
Asia’s Next Top Model: Sheena Liam, Malaysia
Sheena won the grand prize including a Subaru XV, cover for Harper’s Bazaar Singapore and Malaysia, modeling contract with Storm Models Management, and 50,000 Singapore dollars (that’s more than 1.5 million Philippine pesos!).
Do you agree with the decision? Did you like this cycle of Asia’s Next Top Model?
